TWIST AND TRIAL

Hello Everyone!!

It’s been a while in touch with you people since I was busy with my hectic schedule, as you might have already seen that I wasn’t available since long time. But now, I took out some time to sit down and thought of writing a blog post with the idea of reusing my old clothes to give it a new affordable fashionable look. So,I came up with the idea of wearing my shrug in two different ways-one with Indian touch and one with the western.

The Indian Look

Every Indian outfit has its own silhouette, elegance and charm on it.I have this pink simple kurta and did not take a minute to give it a mix with li’ll bit of boho vibes.

I paired the striped shrug with this plain kurti keeping it simple with dark blue denims pairing with my all tym black boots, silver earrings and a pair of white shades.Hair braided sidewise with a nude shade of makeup to bring a glam look.

Outfit details:

  1. Plain kurti-Aurelia
  2. Striped shrug-Aurelia
  3. Blue Jeans-Pantaloons
  4. Boots-Street Style Store
  5. Silver earrings-Gifted

The Western look

This look is a go-to-style statement look for girls who wants to be feel comfy with their outfit yet classy. For me,styling is always something that you can create from your day-to-day outfit to create a new look without burning a hole in your pocket.

I paired the same striped shrug with white off-shoulder crop top with the same denim but this time I opted for heels, adding the same shades on.

MONOCHROME MONSOON

Hey guys!

Monsoon has already arrived and this season called for some experimentation with monochrome outfits. It’s a bit challenging to play with your style when it comes to dress up especially in this season. But if you dig a little bit, you can create your own style.

The cheerful rain gave me the idea of mixing up my old closet stuffs to bring out a fresh new monochrome look, keeping comfort in mind while still being stylish.

Paired this pretty white crop top with my white denims, adding on white high heels to it. The powdered blue front open long stripe shrug adds it own elegance and silver hoops rounded off my look.

I am totally sorted out to vibe with the season of monsoon with my white color pallette monochrome outfit and here comes the quotation

‘the woman is rain and when she falls, she is a monsoon to low her is to drown.’

That Princess Moment

As everyone knows daughters are a father’s first love and so they like to be pampered and treated like a princess.

I always wanted that princess moment in my life wearing a flawless gown of Zuhair Murad or Manish Malhotra like every girl dreams of. But that, not being an easy task for people like us who can only dream about it, I decided to make my dream come true. Why not to design something of my own?

Cautiously optimistic, I went to my favourite shopping destination in Fancy Bazar where someone could easily find everything starting from chunky jewellery to flared jeans.

For my gown, I bought the fabric from one of those fabric shops with shining golden embroidered on it.

Here’s a series of my looks

I decided to put a minimal golden undertoned makeup with golden earrings, golden clutch and a watch keeping the look simple and added on with square braided to complete my look.

HAPPINESS IS CUPCAKES

Hello guys!!!

As you all know, I haven’t posted anything related to food.So here goes my first recipe for cupcakes as I am a die-hard fan of pastries and cupcakes.Bihu is almost knocking at the door and how can I stop myself from doing something special for my loved ones.

So here comes the recipe for red velvet choco cupcakes:

Baking powder (1 small tablespoon)

Ground sugar (1 1/2 cup)

DENIM ON DENIM

Hello guys!!!

Are you a fan of denim? If yes, then you might like this post where I have created a denim over denim look, by far the affordable one.

For sure, summer is all for easy-breezy, off and cold shoulder look. But well its monsoon now and gets a bit chilly but a sweater is not what we wanna wear right? It’s almost summer. So put your favourite denim jacket over your jeans and pair your t-shirt or in my case a classic checked top with it which will give you the girly yet sexy look.Well, denim has always been the sassy style mantra to experiment with, keeping in mind not to make the look boring.

So, here’s a series of my looks

I paired this flared jeans with a checked top, denim blue jacket, my all-time favourite black combat boots and added hoops to complete my look.

And yes “Give a girl the right jeans and she can onquer the world”.

Checked top: Flea market

Denim jacket: Koovs

Flared Jeans: Koovs

Hoops:Flea market

BLACK IS ALL YOU NEED

We all like to stick to black no matter what the season or occasion is. ‘When in doubt, wear black’ has been the style mantra of every fashionista since time immemorial. But black can get so stuffy in summer that it gets tricky to style.

It is common knowledge that black is the keen love of every girl, I included. Nothing spells ‘chic’ more than dressing up in an all-black ensemble, which also happens to be, hands down, my all-time go-to-style. Experimenting with clothes in different colours can sometimes go awry. I, for one, am one of those fellas who is always struggling to find summer-specific clothing because of my black-dominated closet.

SHEER MAGIC: A sheer top for an effortless day-to-night look, keeping the summer heat in mind. Sheer tops look oh-so-sexy while keeping you from making the fashion faux pas of looking overdressed. The result: you get a perfect summer date look.

I am totally in love with this sheer embroidered black top which I paired with a black pencil skirt, black bag and black midi-heels for that all-black effect.

SUMMER IS FOR PASTELS

Summer is the hottest season of the year and looking stylish while still beating the heat all day ’round becomes a real challenge. For me, being comfortable is the key to summer styling. Hence, this easy-breezy look that is sun-friendly while still keeping my fashion game strong.

Nothing says “summer” better than pastels. Easy to carry and perfect for the warmer clime, pastels are a girl’s best friend. I chose this simple blush pink self-stripped top, paired with stripped culottes, for a girl’s day out in the blazing March weather.

This will keep you at ease, not to mention, make you look extremely stylish. Team it up with slip-one of your choice and add your favourite shades to complete the look.

A food blog is yet to come.

The Beginning

Hello guys!

As I always wanted to do something creative with my fashion sense and food experiments, I settled on the idea of writing a blog. So keeping my fingers crossed, lets get started.

WHEN IN DOUBT, DRAPE IT

  • For this look, I wanted to be comfortable yet elegant. So I draped on an orange saree, paired it with a gold embellished blouse and block heels. To give more edge to my look, I added a pair of earrings, kamarbandh and golden clutch along with a golden bracelet.
  • For my hairstyle, I made semi-braids and tied it up at the back, which is also my go-to style.
